SDMT is one of the largest college mock trial programs in the country, and depending on the year, it is the largest. We take pride in the community this creates and the resources it enables us to provide competitors. This year, we will have 14 amazing coaches who volunteer hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of their time. Their dedication shows just how important this program is to its members. SDMT is committed to inclusivity and accessibility, which is why we have had and will continue to have among the lowest dues in the country. We cover all travel costs and accommodations to and from tournaments.
We also hold ourselves to excellence. In the last 3 years, SDMT has been the most successful team on the regional level in the country, bidding 12 out of 18 teams to ORCS (only 25 percent of teams even earn a single bid). We’ve come within a few points of beating national champions and other top finishers and are hungry for more. In 2025, SDMT made history when we qualified for the National Championship Tournament and sent 2 teams to Cleveland to compete.
